The truth about cheap frames....

Why your pet photos deserve more than a Target frame...

I wanted to share a little story with you—because I think it highlights something really important.

About six years ago, I bought a frame from Target and popped a photo of my dog Arcy into it. He looked beautiful in it, of course—but not long after, the frame broke. And it stayed like that, cracked and crooked, for over four years.

After Arcy passed away, I looked at that photo differently. I realised he deserved more than something temporary. He deserved a proper memory—one that was honoured and protected. So I finally had it professionally framed. And now, every time I walk past it, it brings me comfort instead of regret.

There’s something powerful about preserving our memories in a way that truly respects them.

Cheap frames just aren’t made to last, and will cost you more replacing them in the long run. They don’t protect the photo inside, and they definitely don’t do justice to the love we feel for our pets.

Professional framing isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about quality, longevity, and care. It helps keep your image safe from warping, fading, and damage—and turns it into a lasting piece of art for your home.

Because our dogs might not be with us forever—but the memories should be.

If you’ve been meaning to frame a photo, or you're not sure where to start, I’m happy to help. I can guide you to the right options, or even have your photos professionally framed and ordered through my lab for you. Just let me know. You can message me on socials or send me an email at hello@pawsandposephotography.com.au

Cheers, Elouise
